The sequence status bar is located at the bottom of the sequence editor window to provide information about the state of the currently selected sequence.
Nucleotide Sequence Status Bar
From left to right, the bar displays:
1. The position of the cursor in the sequence (). The value corresponds to the position of the first nucleotide found after the cursor.
2. The position of the first and the last nucleotides of the sequence ().
3. The length of the sequence ().
4. The translation of the beginning (5' end) of the sequence ().
5. The frameshift between the 5' end and the 3' end of the sequence (); values are 0, 1, and 2.
6. The translation of the end (3' end) of the sequence ().
Depending on the sequence format or the editor used, some information might not be available. Position, selection start and selection end are only available in the sequence viewer.
