These sequence formats are automatically identified by the Explorer and represented with specific icons. The content is automatically analyzed by GenBeans and, when sequences are found, varied sequence analyses and export options become available in the contextual menu accessed by a right mouse click on the file node. Click in the Open menu found in the contextual menu or a simple double-clicking on the node will open the files in the editor. The most widely used formats have a special syntax highlighting to simplify the reading. These color schemes can be adjusted in the Fonts & Colors category of the Options panel.
Associations between sequence files and extensions can be changed in the Options > Miscellaneous > Files panel.
